See what our students say about training at House of the Samurai!
For over 36 years, House of the Samurai students have been learning to unlock their full potential academically, socially and athletically while developing good character and valuable life skills. Just take a look at our sample list of Black Belt graduates and what they have accomplished. We take an immense amount of pride knowing that our young students are fully armed to defend themselves against such devastating enemies as alcohol, drugs and unhealthy peer pressure.House of the Samurai students attend classes 2-6 times per week. The classes are forty-five minutes in length and are sub-divided into appropriate experience levels. Students enjoy learning in a structured, self-disciplined and fun environment. After training, your son or daughter will leave each class sweating and smiling.
"The true essence of Karate-Jutsu is in the development of key character attributes."
While life skills and character attributes are the most important and useful lessons taught at House of the Samurai, our students get to "have their cake and eat it, too!" This means that our students enjoy personal development, superb martial arts, AND have fun doing it! Our instructors deliver subtle, yet profound, life lessons through a systemized martial art that embodies the best of both the classical and contemporary. Our training curriculum can most simply be described in three sections:
1. Standing skills for receiving and responding to percussive impacts.
2. Techniques for defending and escaping from the ground.
3. Exciting and safe traditional weapons.

We enjoy working together with you, the parent, to maximize your child’s progress in school and at home. Prior to enrollment, we will ask you what your child’s greatest needs are (i.e. self- discipline, confidence, bullying, etc). With this information, we will develop extremely effective lesson plans that will immediately address the areas of concern.
